I had the usual beached whale feeling Saturday and Sunday, however, Monday and Tuesday really knocked me for a loop. I was breathless and the fatigue is worse. I’m still upright, though. I just move slower.
I find out this week how my viral load did on the four week bloods.

- I cleared the virus! Completed 72 weeks of tx on Feb. 6, 2009. Pegetron 135 µg weekly and Ribavirin 1000 mg daily. I am 54 years old, married, mother of two children and was diagnosed in January 2007 with Hepatitis C. This blog has been created to document my journey through treatment to try and clear the virus. Sorry to read the news on the forum that you have to do 72 weeks, but there are just too many people who were UD at 12 weeks through 48, who then relapsed. I think your doctor doesn't want to take a chance of that happening. I agree with you that basing the entire treatment plan on the 4 week test is questionable - in a perfect world, they'd test you every 2 weeks to find out exactly when you go UD, then base the length of treatment on that. Well, there are other people doing 72 weeks, including www.teastarwitch.blogspot.com who is coming to the end soon.
I half expected the 72 weeks after talking to the NP a couple of weeks ago because the bar is set so high here. However, I wasn't expecting the fact that I wouldn't make the two log drop.
I'm starting to pick myself up after the stumble. I am dusting the mud off my knees and pushing on day by day.
